General Details
The U-Band Fiber Reflector is used for FTTx fiber trouble-shooting monitoring by using with OTDR. This combination can be used for detect and locate the fiber faults in minutes, protect investment of unused fibers, and reduce the cost of maintenance.
TARLUZ Reflector realized by two solutions: Fiber Bragg Grating based FBG Reflector and Thin Film based TFR. It is complying to the standard ITU-T G.982, reflectance of any optical component between ONU and OLT should be better than -35dB, which makes FBG Reflector a perfect solution.
Features
FBG Reflector Features
- A Chirped FBG Embedded
- IL<1dB and RL>35dB at Pass Band
- Comply with ITU-T G.982
- Stable and Reliable
Thin Film Reflector Features
- SC/LC Adaptor Type & SC Pigtail Type
- A Thin Film Filter Embedded
- Wide Reflect band
- IL<1.2dB and RL>17dB at Pass Band
- SC Adaptor Type

2. Optical Return Loss (dB) = -10 log 10(Reflected Power/ Input Power) [dB]
Applications
- Create high reflectance and wide working bandwidth at the termination of a PON without disturbing traffic
- Test the reflectance from the central office.
- Check optical continuity of a subscriber when being added, or when troubleshooting
