SFP-DD probably is the Next Generation SFP Module to Support 100G, It is based on 50G PAM4 signaling and will feature two channels, offering 100G in SFP-DD form-factor. By using this tiny SFP slot, it could realize the highest number of 100G front-panel pluggable ports in a Top-of-Rack switch. Eventually, two channels of 100G PAM4 will enable 200G per SFP-DD device.
The SFP56-DD line includes:
- 100G SFP56-DD DR Single wavelength:
The SFP-DD-DR 100G Optical transceiver module is designed for use in 100G-Base Ethernet links for 500m over single-mode fiber. They are operating on 1311nm wavelength, compliant with the SFP-DD MSA. Digital diagnostics functions are available via the I2C interface, as specified by the SFP-DD MSA. - 100G SFP56-DD FR Single wavelength:
The SFP-DD-FR 100G Optical transceiver module is designed for use in 100G-Base Ethernet links for 2km over single-mode fiber. the transceiver is operating on 1311nm wavelength, compliant with the SFP-DD MSA. Digital diagnostics functions are available via the I2C interface, as specified by the SFP-DD MSA. - 100G SFP56-DD LR Single wavelength:
The SFP-DD-LR 100G Optical transceiver module is designed for use in 100G-Base Ethernet links for 10km over single-mode fiber. They are operating on 1311nm wavelength, compliant with the SFP-DD MSA. Digital diagnostics functions are available via the I2C interface, as specified by the SFP-DD MSA.
